Adorned...

There was a time when we were like Yin and Yang. Opposites that attracted so well we almost didn't see that your black and my white were faded to grey. Upon the same shade, we lost our way and the paths that once intertwined ceased to exist altogether.

So you took to the sky, and I, the sea. While I was on the steady path to grow wings, you; fins... Only to end on opposites again.

At some point, I hope, at some point, I dream, we land in the middle again but this time each with feet. Perhaps awkward, your sea bound legs may stumble and my hastily plucked feathers still molting... But through the transformation:

You'll have gained a familiar white shade I once shone. And me? Me... A shiny black pelt you once adorn. Yin and Yang once more, in a way no one thought possible. Two awkwardly beautiful creatures, unique in their own journeys that somehow still reflect one another by the end of it all. At the end of time itself... Maybe then we can meet again. Just maybe...
